Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer? I offer three main services:

Educational Therapy: Customized support for students struggling with learning differences, ADHD, autism, and other learning challenges. This includes interventions tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.

Executive Function Coaching: Focused on improving skills like time management, organization, task initiation, and study habits, especially for students with ADHD or executive function difficulties.

Special Education Advocacy: I provide guidance and support for families navigating IEPs, 504 Plans, and special education services. As a non-attorney advocate, I assist in advocating for your child’s rights in school meetings.

Who can benefit from Educational Therapy?

Students with diagnosed learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism), or those struggling with school performance, can benefit from individualized educational therapy. I work with neurodiverse students and those facing academic challenges, helping them build both academic and emotional confidence.

How is Executive Function Coaching different from Educational Therapy?

While educational therapy addresses specific academic struggles, executive function coaching focuses on developing practical life skills. It’s about helping students with planning, organization, self-regulation, and breaking down complex tasks—key areas where students with ADHD or executive dysfunction often need support.

What is your approach to Special Education Advocacy?

I work collaboratively with families and schools to ensure students receive appropriate services. My role includes helping parents understand their rights, preparing for IEP or 504 meetings, reviewing plans, and advocating for necessary accommodations to support their child’s success. I approach this work from a place of compassion and expertise, with a focus on educational equity.

What should I expect during an initial consultation?

The first consultation involves a discussion of your child’s needs, academic history, and challenges. I’ll gather information to understand your goals and concerns, and together, we’ll develop a plan for next steps, whether it’s ongoing therapy, executive function coaching, or advocacy.

How do you approach working with neurodiverse students?

A strength-based, neuro-affirming practice emphasizes recognizing and building upon the unique abilities and talents of neurodiverse individuals rather than focusing solely on their challenges. It fosters an environment that respects and embraces neurological differences, promoting self-advocacy, confidence, and growth through personalized, supportive strategies.

What are your rates?

Educational Therapy & EF Coaching: $75 per 45-minute session

Special Education Advocacy: $50 per hour. 1 hour consult.

Records Review: $150 for a typical 3-hour review, which includes a report, recommendations, and ghostwriting.

Are your services covered by insurance?

My services are typically not covered by insurance, but they may be eligible for reimbursement through Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
